Included in Jared's takeover is Thirty Seconds to Mars' latest single "Do Or Die" off of their recent album Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams  Jared explains, "It's a song that's very special to us for a number of reasons. I suppose when I think of this song, I think of the short film that we made, that was inspired by this song. We shot concerts all over the world, and we actually turned the camera on you. We turned the camera on our audience all over the world. We interviewed people, we learned about them. And what we came back with was this incredibly moving short film, this documentary about life, and dreams, and family, and hope."

Jared also opens up about one of the band's early songs, "The Kill" and describes it as "a song that changed our lives."

He explains, "I remember clearly to this day sitting on the tour bus at about nine or ten in the morning. And I had visited a radio station, and I saw all of the gold and platinum records on the wall, and I thought, 'How does one communicate with people?' I didn't think of it as selling records, but how do you communicate with people in such a way that is touches the very core of their being? So I went into the bus, I picked up my guitar, I opened up my heart, my gut, my mind, and out came a song that changed our lives."

The Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman also plays and talks about other bands he likes and bands who are friends, including Incubus. He reveals that Incubus took Thirty Seconds to Mars on their first arena tour. He says, "We opened up for them in 2003 or 2002. It was a magical time, it was the first time we stood on stages that big, and of course everyone was staring at us like 'who are these weird people?' And pretty much nothing has changed."

On Jared's Guest DJ'd Radio Station on iHeartRadio, you can also hear music from Linkin Park (who 30STM is touring with this summer), Pink Floyd, Arctic Monkeys, and hear who has influenced him including Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, The Who, and more.
